Our Background

Mike Wickman, founder of Wickman Contracting, grew up on Dauphin Island, Alabama—a coastal environment where structures must endure high humidity, salt air, and hurricane-force winds. From an early age, he learned that quality craftsmanship and strict building standards were essential for longevity. This foundation shaped his commitment to precision, durability, and excellence in every project.


After establishing himself in California and completing his first major feature film, Visage: Silence Has No Color, Mike moved to Texas in 2021, bringing with him a high-performance approach to remodeling. Wickman Contracting was officially incorporated in 2022, focusing on high-end home repairs, luxury remodels, and smart lighting solutions for Austin’s most discerning homeowners.

Wickman Contracting was also founded in honor of Mike’s late father, Don Wickman, who instilled in him a relentless work ethic and dedication to doing things the right way.
